• How can I schedule an activity via Amigo?

    You can do this by changing your status to: “I’m planning to…”. That way, other amigos can see what you have planned and can join.
  • How can I see what’s happening around me later in the day?

    You will see a timeline at the bottom of the app. If you scroll through that, you can see all the planned moments of the day and join them.
  • How can I be sure that someone is reliable?

    We do everything we can to only have real “amigos” on the app. You can help us with that by rating each amigo after you met him or her. After joining an amigo, a popup will appear in the app where you can easily do this. This way we can block any unwanted "amigos".
  • Is Amigo only intended for spontaneous contact?

    Yes. With Amigo we want to make every situation more fun and usually spontaneous contact is the perfect way to do this. Via Amigo you can find people in your area who are currently in for the same thing as you are ánd you can spontaneously schedule something for later in the day.
  • Is Amigo free?

  • Is it for all ages?

    Amigos is for all ages from 18 years. You can set which ages you want to see and vice versa.
  • Can anyone just see me on the map?

    No. Only at the times and places that you want.
  • Can I first chat with an amigo before joining that person?

    Yes! In the app you will see a chat icon next to each amigo. For example, you can agree on a time and location or ask if you need to bring something with you.
  • Can I bring a friend?

    Of course! All you have to do is invite that person. You do this by tapping  in the activity on: Invite someone via WhatsApp. He or she can then easily register via the link you share.
  • Am I able to invite amigos at home?

    This is up to you. If you do this, we recommend that you tap the checkbox ''non-public location'' to  avoid showing your exact location. You can send your address via chat. Of course this remains your own responsibility.

    No. Everybody who likes spontaneous moments can join Amigo.

    Everywhere. However at the moment we are focusing on Utrecht. This means that for the time being you will probably only encounter other amigos in Utrecht on the app. Later this year there will be amigos throughout the Netherlands and in a few years all over the world.

    Amigo is meant to make every situation more fun. Ten examples of situations: 
    1. You are on the train and you want to know which people around you are up for small talk.
    2. You feel like an after party.
    3. You're in a park and you want to know if the group next to you is waiting for you and your friends to join.
    4. You're at home and you're bored.
    5. You want to go for a walk and you don't know anyone who can join you.
    6. You are looking for people who have the same hobby as you.
    7. You have traveled all over the world and found out that people in the Netherlands are more closed.
    8. Your friends are starting a family and you are not (yet).
    9. You are new in the city and you don't know many people there.
    10. You want to see where your friends are.
  • Why are some puppets gray and some black?

    Every black puppet you see is really at that location right now and is in for something. If a puppet is gray, it means that this amigo is not active at the moment and the last location is displayed.
  • What is the difference between a puppet and a pin on the map?

    A puppet () is an amigo who is up for something at the moment. For example for small talk. In that case there is a talk bubble () next to it. A pin () is an activity planned by an amigo or an activity that is currently in progress.
